Who would’ve believed it before 2022?? LEGO is collaborating with Hasbro again, only the second time in recent history and this time it will be via Wizards of the Coast in the Dungeons & Dragons challenge.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, The LEGO Group, through their IDEAS platform, has released a new challenge for fans to showcase their favorite aspects of the Dungeons & Dragons game using LEGO bricks, elements and pieces

The judging panel will include members from the LEGO IDEAS team, and the Wizards of the Coast team, who will choose shortlist designs from the pool of submissions to the Fan Vote phase.

Submissions are to be made here with a deadline of November 14th 2022 at 6:00 a.m. EST which is a little over a month from the time of this post.
If you’re not sure what time zone you’re in, here’s a time zone converter.

The Fan Vote phase for this promotion, which runs from November 28th 2022 to December 12th 2022 will then help the Judges gauge fan interest in specific designs, and validate fan excitement for the theme although critically, the set chosen will not necessarily be the one that garners the most votes.

The Judges will ultimately choose which model from the Fan Vote phase will become a LEGO IDEAS set, regardless of the number of Fan Votes obtained, although lots of votes certainly helps! Once the final model is selected by our panel of Judges, the fan who submitted the design will have the pleasure of becoming our latest Fan DesignerThe LEGO IDEAS team

After all final selection by The IDEAS team and The Wizards of the Coast team, the winning fan designer will get

  • 1% of the total net sales of the LEGO IDEAS Dungeons & Dragons product;
  • 10 complimentary copies of your LEGO IDEAS Dungeons & Dragons set;
  • Credit and bio in set materials as the LEGO IDEAS Dungeons & Dragons Fan Designer; and
  • a prize package of Dungeons & Dragons goodies!

Once again, here is the link to submit your idea to the challenge

Wizards of the Coast is currently owned by Hasbro, and this seems to the second collaboration in recent times between LEGO and Hasbro (The first being the LEGO Optimus Prime product released in 2022) so this is definitely exciting times for fans of both brands.
