The meaningful Everyone is Awesome set 40516 LEGO set has been launched with very good response from the public, both positive and negative. The negatives are mostly due with conflicting views towards the motivation behind the set.

Nonetheless, in some countries, some are wondering the reason for it not being stocked in their local stores. In some countries that have it, the release stocks were very limited (thank goodness for individual purchase caps). LEGO has addressed some of these queries recently on the LEGO Ambassador Network.

In regards to country availability:

We’re sensitive to the fact that in some countries, the rights of members of the LGBTQIA+ communities are not recognised. We support equal rights for all people, but also understand that it can be unsafe for people in these countries to express their sexual preference. This needs to change. LEGO ADULT ENGAGEMENT

In regards to retailer availability (since it is only available at LEGO.com, LEGO Brand Retail, LEGO Certified Stores and Merlin):

This set is currently only available via LEGO Retail channels for 2021 due to the fact that it is new territory for the brand. We have been amazed by the positive response so far and are currently assessing whether to make it more broadly available in 2022. Unfortunately, it’s too late to change launch plans for 2021 as volumes have already been produced. LEGO ADULT ENGAGEMENT

In regards to shelf-life

It’s a standard product. It’ll be restocked when sold out, and will be available till 2022 and +LEGO ADULT ENGAGEMENT
