In conjunction with the release of Marvel Infinity War Bricktober 2018 in several regions, I’ve done this review of the complete line-up of minifigures that you get from all six LEGO Marvel Infinity War sets excluding the Bricktober set. (We wonder when will we see a worldwide release for that minifigure pack?)
Are you ready?
76101 Outrider Dropship Attack
76102 Thor’s Weapon Quest
76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack
76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up
76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle
76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
76101 – Outrider Dropship Attack
Captain America with a beard, or you can call him Nomad. As you can see, the star on his chest is torn and he is no longer carrying the vibranium shield given by Howard Stark. He appears in the smallest set 76101 Outrider Dropship Attack protecting Wakanda. The new shield with claws here are ‘borrowed’ from Shredder in TMNT. Despite his main angry face, he also has an alternate print of him smiling behind his beard.
Comparing him with the previous versions, Cap seems to not have washed his suit since the first Avenger. Lol.
Black Widow. She is in her new green outfit after double crossing Tony in Civil War. She looks fresh and nice with her new blonde hair. Are you sure this is the correct way to hold a light saber? 😉
It’s amazing how the uniform of a professional spy changes throughout the years. Her hair too.
Outriders. You’ll have four of them after collecting all six sets. At first glance, the mouth looks like an eye. I love the gold & black design and the intricate printings on its front and back torso. The four arm extensions are nice addition and workaround to portray this 6 armed creature.
76102 Thor’s Weapon Quest
Thor in his new outfit after escaping from fallen Asgard. He is now in a sleeveless garb with Brown hair echoing the on screen appearance change of Thor since the events of Thor:Ragnarok. The brick built Stormbreaker is spot on! I love the pronged branch at the top to symbolize that the Stormbreaker handle came from Groot.
Rocket Raccoon. This is a very nicely molded head. The sneaky smile makes him look very movie accurate. His tail must be built pointing upwards or else he can’t stand properly with his tail jutting over his short legs. Overall the prints are on his torso are amazing. This figure was previously released in the Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 set, 76079 Ravager Attack.
Teenage Groot. New head mould for a minifigure sized Groot. The torso prints are well done but I think some leg prints to add more details and make him not that simple looking. Can we ask for a 1×2 tile with a GameBoy printed on it? That would be nice.
76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack
Black Panther. It’s the same minifigure as in 76100 Royal Talon Fighter Attack from the Black Panther standalone movie. I think this is the simplest minifigure in this line with clean lines and minimal supporting design elements.
Shuri, daughter of T’chaka and potential heir to the Black Panther mantle. She wears an orange jacket with a new hair piece. She has a smiling face and an angry expression as her alternate face.
Vision. He is well printed with a primarily sand green and purple colour scheme as in the movie. You can see the mind stone well printed on his forehead. He is wearing a bright yellow cape. This minifigure previously appeared in the Captain America: Civil War set 76067 Tanker Truck Takedown.
Corvus Glaive. A dark coloured minifigure reminded me of the Ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings. His cape is similar to the Ringwraiths but not exactly the same but I like the torn cape design. Perhaps the torn cape is due to his weapon being too long and always pokes the cape?. He has two expressions but both look cute rather than menacing. Lol.
76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up
Bruce Banner. Sorry I take back the words on the Black Panther minifigure just now. This minifigure wins the most boring minifigure award. He is just a guy in a suit. The only thing that makes him special is the green eyes. That was a nice touch.
Falcon aka Sam Wilson. The brick built wings are so cool! Stickers or not, I think it is well designed and the prints on his torso are also very nice, especially the backpack print at the back of the torso.
Proxima Midnight. A blue haired villain with a gold left arm. I like the new mould of hairpiece instead of just taking Legolas’ elven hair. She has two facial expressions and both are useful in posing her.
76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle
THANOS! This is by far the best big fig in this set of characters! The armor is very nicely printed, and his expression is spot on! The Infinity Gauntlet is a very interesting feature to be added for him. Now we all can collect the Infinity Stones and put them on the gauntlet. How cool is that! A different coloured stone is located in each of the 6 sets!
Star Lord. He is movie accurate, with two facial expressions, and two guns specially designed for him. I love his guns in Infinity War. They shoot bubbles!
Gamora. I think she wins the best printed torso award here. The whole minifigure is very nice and amazingly detailed. The hair is even printed with some purple highlights. This is by far my favorite minifigure here.
Iron Man mark 50. This minifigure undoubtedly won the coolest minifigure award here. Tony’s face with the Heads Up Display print, and all the accessories are so cool! The Nano Booster wings and neck bracket are only available in 76107 but the full set of blue power blast accessories are given in both of the sets.
76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
Dr. Strange. He has a new hair piece which looks nicer than previous version. His cape is a little bit different as the top part is the harder starchy type but the bottom one is softer fabric. He also has those power blast accessories in orange.
Iron Spider. This is also a very nice minifigure as he is the only minifigure in this line-up with side arm printings. The gold projections are also a cool addition to the minifigure! As in the movie, the additional 4 golden Spider legs provides a great symbolism as it completes the look of having full 8 appendages that all arachnids have.
Ebony Maw aka Squidward. He looks ugly in the movie but quite cute here. The prints are quite good and his face is quite nicely printed with scanty hairs at the back of his head.
Cull Obsidian. The other big fig in this set. His pauldron looks nice and fixed on his torso. Movie accuracy is good but an extra mechanical arm would be nice to replace his lost arm sliced off by Wong in the movie.
That’s all of the minifigures included in this line!
Stay tuned for the compete set review of all six of the LEGO Avengers Infinity War line-up coming up next.
