According to bricksfanz.com, as part of the LEGO MOVIE 2 promotions, LEGO will open a Pop Up LEGO Cafe called THE COFFEE CHAIN which is inspired by the cafe featureed in the LEGO MOVIE films. We had a good laugh at the $37 dollars Overpriced Coffee social commentary depicted in the movie. Fortunately, this pop up cafe serves free winter warming drinks and water with donation boxes open for UNICEF (The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) with a main aim of providing clean water, lifesaving food, vaccines and a safe space to grow up happy and health.

Everything is Awesome as The LEGO® Movie 2 opens a LEGO® cafe in support of UNICEF UK.

Stars of The LEGO® Movie 2 will open a unique LEGO® Cafe on Friday 1st February coinciding with Awesome Week, spreading positivity in the lead up to the film’s release. THE COFFEE CHAIN, inspired by the cafe featured in The LEGO® Movie films, will be opened by voice cast Chris Pratt (Emmet) and Tiffany Haddish (Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi) at Observation Point on London’s South Bank.

The Hollywood stars will serve Londoners the first beverages, giving those lucky enough to find their way to the front of the queue the chance to meet the cast of the film.

Opening at 9am on Friday, THE COFFEE CHAIN will be brought to life with no fewer than 48,627 LEGO® bricks by six builders, taking 236 hours to complete. It will include a LEGO® coffee machine, donuts, your morning paper and more. The pop-up will serve free winter warming drinks and water, and spread LEGO®-infused awesomeness with costume characters and spot prizes. (Click here for prize T&C’s)

THE COFFEE CHAIN will also help raise awareness and proceeds for UNICEF to help children around the world. Visitors will be encouraged to donate a small sum to support UNICEF’s vital work for children – providing clean water, lifesaving food, vaccines and a safe space to grow up happy and healthy.

Those not able to make it down to South Bank could also have awesomeness delivered right to their offices or homes. Anyone using the hashtag #EverythingIsAwesome and sharing positive, awesome thoughts or pictures can earn ‘Awesome Deliveries’ of LEGO® donuts and coffee, which will be delivered around London.

Fans can check for updates and the chance to meet the stars by going to the @TheLEGOMoviesUK twitter page.

THE COFFEE CHAIN will be open for two days, Friday 1st 10am-6pm and Saturday 2nd of February 10am-5pm at Observation Point, South Bank. Southbank, 58–72 Upper Ground, London, SE1 9LT.
