LEGO has released the press release for 75181 UCS Series Y-Wing Starfighter. This is the first UCS release of 2018 and brings back an iconic bomber ship from the Star Wars franchise. Here is the transcript along with pictures featured on the online shop.
It will be available for sale on the May the 4th 2018.
The boxart is very nostalgic as it features a lone Y-Wing in the Death Star trench run attempting to make an assault on the port that is the weak spot of the Death Star. They were the starfighters originally planned to shoot the proton torpedoes down the port but were shot down by Vader and co. Silhouettes of the 3 pursuing TIE fighters and a certain (in)famous YT-1300 Corellian light freighter is seen in the background.
With a US RRP of USD199.99, this is the same price bracket as the UCS Slave-1, UCS Snowspeeder and UCS Tie Fighter, we can more or less estimate what LEGO will price this upcoming set in our region.
