In the past few days, we had some teasers of a ship in a bottle set from LEGO in the form of teaser graphics and a beautifully framed shot of a “washed up” at the beach (see the images at the end of this article) for this set.

LEGO now officially reveals the 21313 LEGO IDEAS Ship in a Bottle.

Of course, this set is based off the LEGO IDEAS “Ship in a Bottle, Flagship Leviathan” submission by Jacob Sadovich. His submission successfully garnered 10,000 supporters from the public in 2016 and got green lit by the TLG(The LEGO Group) review board in 2017.

The official set is noticably smaller in scale but it’s great that they have provided a nice little compass build and printed dish at the base.

Have a gander at the original submission here and also read an interview with Mr. Sadovich here done by the LEGO IDEAS team.

The LEGO Ideas theme has been on a roll recently with the popular 21309 Apollo NASA Saturn V and 21310 Old Fishing Store in 2017. This release seems certain to continue the ball rolling. There is also a huge anticipation for the upcoming 21312 Voltron set  release, keeping the theme truly alive and well.
