Build the Hubble Space Telescope and learn astronomy with the ‘Mother of Hubble’ Nancy Grace Roman. Develop the software for space missions with computer scientist Margaret Hamilton. And launch the space shuttle with Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space, and Mae Jemison, the world’s first woman of color in space. Build, play, learn and one day you too could become a science, technology, engineering or mathematics superstar!

This LEGO Idea originally submitted by tauri20/Maia Weinstock reached the targeted goal of 10,000 supporters in just 15 days (10,000 supporters is the threshold for IDEAS submissions to make it into the review stage of the process) The official set features four of the five wonderful Women of Nasa highlighted in tauri20’s submission. *Edit* Thank you to reader M.J Yong, we have an small explanation from LEGO on why Katherine Johnson was omitted from the final set.

The minifigures are very well represented instead without introducing new elements. We particularly like the minifigure of Margaret Hamilton.

Like the Research Institute set, this set is small and priced at a pretty low price point with the added bonus of functional minibuilds.
It is well within reach of most budgets and judging by the immense popularity of the Saturn V set in the US, this set could be a tad hard to get at times there as many would also be gifting these sets to kids to empower them to realise their dreams.

Upcoming IDEAS sets confirmed to be released are the The Flagship Leviathan Ship in a Bottle and Voltron which we expect to be Year 2018 releases.
