When the Brickheadz line was announced at SDCC(San Diego Comic Con) 2016, plenty could see similarities with hugely succesful Funko Pop! line released by Funko LLC. Similar scale, super deformed heads (chibi style), licensed characters.
Now, at NYCC(New York Comic Con) Funko has released their 8 bit Pop! line starting off with Batman, Dig-Dug and characteres from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with particularly pixelated figures which could harken to the early days of video games OR possibly an indirect swipe at LEGO.
